First Games of Travel Season
The first games of the Travel Soccer Season kicked off on Sunday, April 3rd, 2016. Here are the results!
Indiana Lightning Hawks (U10 Girls) opener is not till April 17th.
April 3, 2016: The Indiana Blackhawks (U10 Boys) Travel Soccer team opened up their Spring campaign with a 5-0 shut out of the Pittsburgh Dynamos. An aggressive offensive attack, strong defense and outstanding goal tending lead to a solid performance by the Blackhawks. Goals were scored by Ash Lockard, Harrison Martineau, Trevor Todd, Carter Mock and Johnny Trevorrow. Alex Bauer, Hunter Martin, Trevor Todd and Harrison Martineau split time in goal for a combined shut out. Blackhawks are 1-0 and head on the road next Sunday to play the other Pittsburgh Dynamo.
April 3, 2016: The Indiana Storm Hawks (U12 Girls) travel soccer team tied its first match of the season against Woodland Hills, 1-1. The lone goal for the Indiana Storm Hawks came on a penalty kick for a hand ball called against Woodland Hills in the penalty box. The penalty kick was taken by Monica Turnbull. The Storm Hawks were a bit apprehensive early in the match, allowing a first half goal, but the team became more comfortable and had numerous scoring opportunities in the second half. However, they were unable to get the ball past the Woodland Hills keeper.
April 3, 2016: The Indiana Blackhawks (U12 Boys) tied Plum Premier 2-2. After being behind 2-0 at halftime, Indiana was able to come back and tie it up. Danny Turner scored the first goal, assisted by Isaac Myers. Vince Belice scored the second goal, assisted by Owen Putt. Jack Mock and Ethan Kutz shared goalkeeping duties.
April 3, 2016: The Indiana Red Hawks (U12 Boys) won their opening game 3-2 over Kiski. After a scoreless first half, Will Woods scored an early free kick, then finished another halfway through the half. Kiski pressed, causing confusion in the box, and scored twice to tie the game at 2. Andrew Kuzneski then finished a late free kick to the back post to draw ahead. There was solid play across the field with highlight showings by Jose Gutierriez on defense and Hunter Smathers at midfield. Logan Rode and Josh Nelson provided the goaltending.
April 3, 2016: The Indiana White Hawks (U12 Boys) defeated Somerset Area 11-0. Jacob Roumfort scored 4 goals and Mohammad Alrahmah scored 3 goals. Lee Rosenberger, Anas Algubaisi, Robert Sutton and Henry Rummel each added a goal. Henry Rummel and Hashem Alrahmah shared goal-keeping duties. Next game for White Hawks will be away and against Woodland Hills. Good luck White Hawks (U12-Boys).
April 3, 2016: The Indiana Thunder Hawks (u15/16 Girls) won their home opener 2-1 against Laurel Highlands. The Indiana goals were scored by Faith Hartle and Hanna Scardina. Renee Hill played goal for Indiana.
April 3, 2016: The Indiana U16 Boys lost 5-2 to Loyalhanna White. Goals scored by Francis Slagley (free kick outside the 18) and Brandon Brocious.
April 3, 2016: The Indiana U18 Boys lost 1-0 to Greensburg. Indiana had the majority of the possession and out shot Greensburg. However, Greensburg found the back of the net half way through the second half.
